JCHi Director, Mendel Singer, honored by Cuyahoga County Board of Health

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health passed a special resolution recognizing the work done in the past year by JCHI Director, Mendel Singer, PhD, on behalf of the Jewish community. This included his work in the Mumps Awareness campaign in the Spring and his active engagement during the ensuing mumps outbreak in the Fall, as well as running a workshop for CCBH on doing public health in the Orthodox Jewish community and the creation of the JCHi website, and other activities as well.

The resolution was awarded in a surprise presentation at the conclusion of Dr. Singer’s class. Brief speeches were made by the Health Commissioner Terry Allen, Chief Epidemiologist Chris Kippes and Director of Nursing Services (and former student of mendel’s) Claire Boettler.
